Norman Connections Castles Conference

A series of presentations over two days by English and French specialists on Norman archaeology, architecture and artefacts. Speakers on Thursday 17 May: Dr John Davies, Dr Elizabeth Popescu, Peter Berridge, Dr Marc Morris, Jean-Marie Levesque, Charlotte Lapiche, François Fichet de Clairfontaine, Jean Mesqui and Dr Robert Liddiard. There is also a special evening lecture from 5.15pm by Professor David Bates, author of the leading biography of William the Conqueror, followed by a reception. Speakers on Friday 18 May: Dr Edward Impey, Dr Roland Harris, Professor Sandy Heslop, Joseph Mastrolorenzo, François Fichet de Clairfontaine, Bénédicte Guillot, Nicola Coulthard, Dr John Crook, Steven Ashley and Pierre Bouet.

Experience Norwich Castle after dark for the Museums at Night event. Explore the Castle Keep and Natural History Galleries by torchlight, meeting amazing characters and creatures along the way.
