Undercroft Tour

Join us in a fascinating guided tour of one of the finest medieval undercrofts in the city. Discover the stories of the undercroft which was originally used for storage and later for holding inmates when the building was a house of correction. Please note, the tour is suitable for over 8’s and the space is not accessible for wheelchair users. Tours are free with museum admission, call to reserve your place.

Writing Workshop

Do you have a budding young writer in the family? Looking for inspiration for the Write on Norfolk story writing competition? Come and join local author, Isabelle King, to ‘Make A Character’ inspired by the famous Samson statue from our museum. First Isabelle will entertain us with a storytelling about the statue from ‘The Norfolk Story Book.’ Then she will lead a friendly, fun workshop where we will use words, drawing and imagination to create our own characters and bring them to life! Best suited to ages 5-10. The workshop will be followed by a book signing and a chance to ask Isabelle questions about writing. Workshop is free - places are limited - call to book
